Question: What is the process of oil exploration in Iran?
Answer: Oil Exploration operation is one of essential activities of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). In late March 2008, NIOC carried out the drilling operations of 7 wells and testing 6 exploratory wells, and started drilling 5 new exploratory wells using 6.64 drilling rigs.
A comparison of exploration with production of hydrocarbon from 21 March 2007 to 21 March 2008 showed that total amount of hydrocarbon production (oil, NGL, gas, and condensates) was 2,809.24 million barrels.
Overall, it is expected that the producible size of oil in the site of reserves was 2,841 million barrels of crude oil, 898 million barrels of NGL and condensates, and 1,045 billion cubic meters of dry gas. This size was explored at the end of March 2008.

پاسخ: عملیات اکتشاف نفت یکی از مهمترین فعالیت های شرکت ملی نفت ایران است. در پایان مارس 2008 شرکت ملی نفت ایران عملیات حفاری از 7 چاه انجام شد و شش چاه اکتشافی بررسی شد. و شروع به حفاری 5 حلقه چاه جدید با استفاده از 6.64 سکوی حفاری صورت گرفت.
مقایسه اکتشاف با استفاده از محصولات هیدروکربنی از مارس 2007 تا 21 مارس 2008.مقدار کل محصولات هیدروکربنی (نفت گاز و میعانات) 2.809.24 بشکه بود .
به طور کلی انتظار میرود مقدار قابل تولید از محل ذخایر 2.841 میلیون بشکه نفت خام باشد , 898 ملیون بشکه NGL و میعانات و 1045 بیلیون مترمکعب گاز خشک . این مقدار در پایان مارس سال 2008 کشف شده است.
Question: What are the Purposes of Project constructions of Crude Oil Storage Tanks?
Answer: It is intended to construct 17 strategic steel Tanks in order to store 10 million barrels of crude oil with the objectives of this plan being to provide a backup energy supply in critical situations through the transfer of oil crude to domestic refineries or through the transfer of crude to export terminals that have a vital and important role.
